I would greatly appreciate it if someone would please tell me how soon my wife can be with me. I am a U.S citizen, I was born in Ventura, CA.
1. I was married in April of 2005 in Mexico to the love of my life
2. The INS received my I-130 petition in May 13, 2005
3. The I-130 petition was approved on November 11, 2005
I recently sent the required fee for the affidavit of support and sent out the affidavit of support on 1-12-06, along with the $380 processing fee for the visa.
I am told that the next thing I will recieve is a request for her to provide her information, it will go back and they will process the case and send it to the the Ciudad Juarez Consulate for the appointment.
My question is how long will this whole phase take? when will they send my wifes package( request for her information), and when will we be called for the interview.
I would greatly appreciate someones expertise on this, taking in to consideration other similar cases and the current backlog of the Visa Center.
This whole wait has been very difficult on us both, I have gone to see her 4 times since we were married but it doesnt make it better for either of us.
