it is a possibility. for example, this year the cutting date for issuing visas was february 1st, 99 and it jumped to april 1, 99. Sometimes, all visas are not allocated because some asylees find other ways such as marriage. so there is a big possibilty that they may push through the cutting date but do not expect everyone in that period to get early approval. You first get a form called I-551 that is valid for a year. During this year, you will get the plastic card. i am not sure what you mean by changing it?Originally posted by Azadindian

Could anyone clarify what you get after approval, plastic card or acutual card? If you get plastic card, do you have to change it at some point of time? Pleas help clarifying this.
