1)We have applied for AOS eb3 in july, can my wife and kid change it to cp now(no receipt yet)?
2)Can FP be done in India at the consulate or can we postpone the FP date?
3) Since we have not applied for AP, Can we get an AP from local ins office once we get the receipt?

1. You can withdraw AOS and apply for CP for all of you. I don\'t think you can only do it for wife and kids.
2. You can not do FP in india.
3. You can not get AP, unless it is approved or 90 days gone by.

can we apply for ap and leave the country before it is approved and some one here sends the approved ap

(1) To change to CP, you have to file I-829 (?);
(2) Finger prints can only be taken in US; for CP, different
method is used for background check;
(3) You should present strong reasons and supporting documents
if you want to apply AP on the spot.
