I am expecting layoff in 5-6 weeks. I am planning to join one of my relative\'s own company. He is the only employ of the company and employer too. The firm is not that big. Can I join his company and continue my GC processing without any problems.I completed 8 months since RD.

Please advise.

my understanding is INS only care if the job is same or similiar with your

old one. They don\'t care the company size. I am not too sure.
But if you are in the LC stage, the company size will affect.
Let\'s see other experts\' words.

Make sure the job is the same, and you get paid properly (especially because it is your relative\'s company) \'coz you have to maintain continuity in your pay stubs etc.
 
Why dont you shop around for a new job.. i know its tough.. you already fullfilled AC 21. you can j

 
 
WantedGC - they dont care about company size

After 180 days it does not matter. Just copy (with little alternations) the job description of old employment to new employment. They only care about Job description and pay stubs. You are absolutely safe Good luck. My friend is doing similarly and he got approval.
