Guys,
I have an 485 interview scheduled on the 9th of Apr.

What are the advantages/ disadvantages of taking an attorney with me.

Yr urgent response will be appreciated as I have to decide by end of day today if I want to engage the local attorney I have approched.

It depends...

If the case is straightforward, then I wouldn't want to pay an attorney for the interview. If, on the other hand, you feel the case is somewhat complicated and want to be on the safe side, then yes...
