Friends, AP pendng 5months, can i bring Airline ticket to local cis to get approval?

AP processing never moved in March. 485 pending since Dec 2001. I booked the ticket already.

All local centres issue APs. They have different policies/timeframes etc. Check their website or just go to them. Most issue same day in case of emergency- you didn't have to apply- upfront to go to local center (unlike EAD).

this summer after 8 years of staying here. They probably will not consider this an emergency.
 
Are you not wanting to come back? AP is only required to come back. If you are going back to home country for good- just go.

interim AP

Our AP was also pending for 4 months and I had to go to India. I sought and obtained an interim AP from the local office. I had to to do the following in this regard.
1) Complete another AP application
2) two photos
3) old AP
4) the pending AP's INS reciept
5) A letter stating why you need a interim AP (I stated that I have to visit India and need an AP now for getting a German transit Visa).
The local office mailed my interim AP valid for an year to my house in two days time.

Which local center did u get the AP from?

I did I-EAD before. maybe i will try my luck at the local CIS.

Are u a VSC applicant? How long was AP pending at VSC? What all supporting documents did u provide?
