I have a good friend who was married in Thailand, then one 1 1/2 yrs. later got a K-3 visa, and is now in the US with her husband. She is very unhappy with the marriage, but due to culture and family issues feels she needs to stay in the marriage. What are her options? She visited a friend for a few days and did not tell him where she was. He threatened to report her to homeland security and have her Visa revoked and banned from visiting the US forever. Could he have done this? What are the rules concerning compliance with a K-3 Visa? If they divorce, can she marry someone else while under a K-3 Visa and stay in the US?
