Well, that thread is gone so are my question about Frequent traveller program.

I want to know more about this program.

My unanswered question is : why is this program even potentially
available or useful for domestic frequent travellers when
there is no immigration checkpoints on domestic flights

I think the waits at the airports are less with this program. I haven't followed the news about that too much, but I think there are going to be special lanes for going through the X-ray machines.

So this program is not really designed fro PR but citizens and PR
and even maybe important non-PR foreigners as frequent traveller?

There should be a special flight for such frequent flyer,
i.e., all passenger on such plane are such frequent
fliers who have previleges of passing express safety
gate. If too brief check cause securioty concern,
then it should be limited to the people
who enjoy such prevelidges.

The metal foil (aluminium sheet will do) idea is based on a principle called 'Faraday Cage'. RFID Tx in US pass is UNENCRYPTED. Countriew with VWP's will also be required to implement this in future!! This sure is a privacy risk

In a few years from now USPs will have a digital fingerprint, digital photograph and other vital info abt the carrier.

With every piece of our information (SSN, Green card info, bank records etc...) in mainframe computers somewhere, its just time before we become slaves of machines.

Read the book "Database Nation" for an account of what already is in all the different databases: http://www.databasenation.com/home.htm

Interesting link. My comment was based on the movie "The Net" where identities can be changed if people have access to the servers which hold our information. In future computers will have more intelligence, to do most of our tasks and may finally replace and control us like one of those SciFi movies ...
 :D
