All,

Our case was finally approved last night after 6 long years. I still cant believe that I am done with this nightmare.

This portal has been my life saver and I am so used to checking this site everyday that I will continue participating simply out of habit ;)

I genuinely hope that all the old timers and those with original PD get to see this happy day soon.

Did you get any NSC transfer emails recently?
So your case is approved by CSC or NSC.

What happened to that mail: "letter other than card was send"?
So looks like this kind of mail containg a good news at the end?

That note was a response to the inquiry we had opened. That meant nothing at all...

Congratulations!

Could you post the details of your case? Your case was never transferred to NSC and how did you find out it was approved by CSC not NSC? I didn't think that CSC was still processing I485 cases. I thought they transferred all of their cases to NSC.

My case was supposedly transferred to to NSC, but they mailed me the FP notice after the transfer. the FP notice was sent from CSC not NSC.

My case has always been with CSC. The approval mail and all other mails clearly says so.


My case details:

Harakad
EB3/CSC/ India
Current : From January 2007
PD : 04/30/2001
3rd FP: 2/15/2007
Recent LUD in 2007:02/22, RFE response received LUD on 3/13, 3/14, 3/21,3/22
RFE: Email rcvd on Jan 29th, Snail mail on Feb 19th, response sent on March 5th
485 AD: 3/21 (production ordered) :D

Harkad, could you tell me what is your I-485 receive date and if you know, when did your NC cleared? Thanks

You have a really early RD for 485. That might be part of the reason your case not transfered. I think CSC transfers cases based on the RD in phases. Mine is 05/2004 so unfortunately got transfered.

DOnt worry about case being transferred to NC. As long as your namecheck is cleared and PD current, you should see approvals soon.

I believe Harakad's case is not transferred because an officer from csc had already started reviewing his case before this mass transfer happened. For cases like yours, if they haven't been assigned to any officer, they are transferred. Although there will be some delay due to transferring, your case should be approved soon as your NC is cleared.

Calbears' case should be approved in the near future.
nc3years, has your spouse's NC cleared?
Both of us have been stuck NC since 12/2004. I have no idea how long it will take, 1 year, 2 years or 3,4 years.

Thanks you guys for the reassuring words. A recent FBI letter re-confirmed my NC status from a congressional inquiry. In the letter, it mentioned my letter to First Lady last Dec so I guess that might have been in work.

But again, it will be always nerve rattling until one day you see the approvals.

Yes, spouse's NC is cleared according to infopass. In my case, I believe my name really have a hit and need some time to do manual check. But for your case, your names might have been sitting there for years without been touched. All you need is to do is urging them touch the names. Have you contacted Mrs Bush? It might help, although in my case it didn't.

Yes, I have tried the regular government resources (congrssional inquiries, Mrs. Bush) to inquiry about the NC delay, but nothing happens except NC pending.
I know if your NC is not cleared in 2 years, that means you did not pass the first manual check and they'll collect more info. to conduct the 2nd, even the 3rd manual check. That takes 4 or 5 years.
It seems you and me did not pass the 1st manual check.

You probably are right. My cases are transferred back to CSC!

Since my PD is as old as 2001 they wanted to verify if i am with the same company.
