Hi all,
Can an employee use the Freedom of Information/privacy act form to request a copy of the I-140 application filed form him.
If yes, how long do they take it to send it.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you. The main reason for me is to find the occupation code filed for the I-140.
I do have the receipt notice.
One last question, I live in CA and I-140 filed at VSC.
The request still should be mailed to VSC right?
thanks in advance.

I do have the receipt notice. then what application you need. please be precise in what exactly need. wrong wording will get incorrect answer or confusions. if you wanted to get the documents which your employer used to file your i140 then its NOT possible.

Hi Saigc,
thanks for the reply.

I am using the FOIA just to get a copy of the I-140 application filed for me by the employer. Not other additional informations except that.
I do not have the labor and related docs.

By receipt notice, I meant I do have a copy of the I-140 receipt notice that was filed with the USCIS. But it does not have the SOC (standard occupation code) , which is common.

Thanks for the answer, appreciate it.
