Thank you

Yes I have been in touch with the Congress Man's office, they were very helpful. in fact I am sure they had an influence in the decision. Senator's office not very helpful!!

Received my RFE on 08/13, they claimed my MS didnot match the labor sub that i was using for, they had overlooked all the requirements on my labor that my lawyer pointed out.

I would say to everyone waiting to get in touch with the congressman's office if your dates are somewhat close to the posted dates

bbcd,

Congratulations! If possble, can you post what was required in the LC sub and what your MS is (some details?) I may face the education problem. please help the rest of us! thank u so much!

My RFE details

The labor sub required MS in engineeriing or management, I have a management MS from the US that they had completely overlooked stating that I did not have the qualifications specified in the labor.
My lawyer just sent in the details of my degree and then things were ok.

It seems for concurrent filers they are sending a lot of RFEs either for education or for company's ability to pay. I think it is just to buy some time while the processing continues, because for a lot of us I140 processing dates were well overdue compared to the dates posted on the AILA website

hey guys bbcd...is absolutely right. I am pretty sure my case was approved b/c of a letter written to the senator.....so i say, if you haven't written a letter yet...do it today. and expect a more relieved life after 2 weeks. (thats how long it took for my case)

Also we have Dem and Rep senetors (Zig Zag senetor Zell Miller (D-GA) and Saxby Chambliss (R-GA)), although they all look like Republicans.

Which party's senetor I should write to? I guess Rep. party has softer tone on foreign workers.

Party affiliations should not matter

I personally had a better experience using my local congressman in Plano, as I got a lot more personal attention to my case. Senator offices typically have too many applicants to deal with. I would say it doesnot hurt to use both or any. Just be honest about your case and my personal opinion is to take your family along when u get an appointment to meet them (the family touch) always helps in Texas!!

Right now I am singing VIVA Republican!!! (Although note my party affiliation are a SECRET ;) )
