Freakiest message from USCIS

I gotta share this with you folks...

Here is the freakiest message I have ever received from INS...

My case is approved and I stamped about 3 1/2 months back. I did not get my card yet so i had inquired...

Here is the funny response:

Approved - A final decision has been made on your case. Notification of approval was mailed on August xx, 2004. You case is still pending review and undergoing security checks. Please allow approximately 30 days for completion before submitting additional inquires. You will be receiving your card soon

Are these guys nuts... What kind of security checks are they performing AFTER approving my application.

INS is smoking pot man....

yes... same thing happened with me.. our case was approved and we got our passports stamped in Nov. Till now the website used to show - case pending..... yesterday these guys woke up and realised and updated the website with - your case has been approved on december 16th 2004 ! Better late than never.
 
What surprises me is that they contradict their own statement. on one hand they say that the case is approved and on the other they say that its under review. a bunch of morons.
 
I saw a similar message when I checked the receipt number from my Welcome Letter. I think this means they're gonna order a card for you soon.
