FP2 notice = adjudication soon? WAC-02-253

Lawyers informed me yesterday by email that they received courtesy copy of FP2 appointment notice - scheduled for 6/11/04. I have not received the original notice yet, but expect it in a day or two.

You can see from my profile below that my FP1 results were received in Sept 02. Does this FP2 notice indicate that my application may finally have come up in the stack for adjudication, or is it because the first FP results are now 20 months old and the system has automatically triggered the need for a fresh set of prints?

Anyone with FP2 experience here? How fast did the results post, and did it lead to I-485 adjudication in anything like a reasonable time frame?

[Here is an important note: My I-140 was approved in March 02, but a month ago when I entered all my case numbers into the new USCIS web tracker system, it said my I-140 was pending approval and it was taking between 300 and 300 days (!) even though we had the paper approval notice over two years earlier. My lawyer called the CSC and the next day the case information was correctly updated in the web tracker system - and my I-485 was touched the same day. A few days later we received the FP2 notice. Coincidence? Always check all your case numbers in the USCIS web system for accuracy!]

Yours is among the first set of applicants whose FP was not taken even though it had expired. CSC seems to hold the second FP till the case is ripe for pulling out of the pile (that is the expectation that they are setting now a days.) Personally, I think this is just to make sure that your case is "adjudication ready" when it comes up in the next few months. It is possible that it will be adjudicated after the FP results are in but I think that is less likely. Lets wait and see. Good luck!
