FP2 Expired

I received the FP-2 notice at my old address, and I came to know about that today as the person staying there had gone for a vacation for 3 months. I found out that the appointment date was in June and I had to appear before 2nd August -2004, which has already passed.
After calling the BCIS Customer Service Centre they told me to write to the Application Support Center and explain them the situation to re-schedule the appointment.
Did anybody else here faced a similar situation who can share what is the next course of action here.

My case is little bit different. They sent fp2 to my old address and my attorney.I came to know from my attorney that they received FP2 for me. I think The fp2 which sent to OLD address returned to USCIS. I am planning to use attorney copy .
 
Can I just take my FP-2 Notice and show up at the Application Support Center to get my FP done ??

I

would say try to go around 12pm-2pm and that you received it late. usually ASC is relaxed in the afternoon and tend to be more flexible
 
Appeared for FP2

FYI .. I walked in to the Application Support Center and after some initial hick-up of me explaining why I was late they took my finger print. I still need to write letter(s) explaining the matter and the address change, although i had called them up regarding this earlier.
