Just heard from my Attorney that they received my first Finger printing notice (both me and my wife) for an appointment on 09/16. Still to receive papers from my attorney.
I have not received my 140 approval yet even though they have crossed my ND. Also no change in last update date on 140 or 485.
Any ideas, what could be happening to my application?
My Attorney also mentioned that applications filed before mine from our company have also not received 140 approvals. Also no RFE's issued yet on those applications. The company I work for is a big one with many employees.

Any idea gurus!! :confused:

Congratulations on getting your FP..BE happy rather than worrying about your 140 approval. its not that late yet.

There are too many like me waiting for 140, and FP both since long time like aug 2003

Its not that I am unhappy, its just that I am confused as to the reason how I received my FP before 140 approval. Not sure if this is a new trend where people get FP's even with or with out their 140 approvals.
Dont want to fall into the concurrent approval chakkar :eek:

Yeah this is a new trend in VSC. Mostly EB3 folks are getting FP notices and if I am correct - EB2 folks should be prepared for a long wait(like it happened with 140 approvals).

I don't agree with you that only EB3 folks are getting FP. I know of 5 people including myself with ND b/w 09/22/2003 and 03/22/2004 all in EB2, All VSC who have received their FP notices in the last 2 weeks. 140 is approved in only one case of these 5. Rest all have 140 dates later then current JIT at VSC.
 
My case is also similer to this. My EB3- I140 filed in May 2003 is pending, but I got FP1 notice. My friend in EB2 category who filed in Feb 2004 also received a I 140 notice without I 140 clearnce. I also read from this forum that INS has started security clearance before I 140 approval.
