FP validity: How many months?????

Hi Guys ,

   I have done my first FP in 7/00 and I have question how many months FP valid. I have read this forum some body got FP renewal notice within 12 months.If this the case,did I have to call INS to issue FP notice second time .

PD 10/97 VSC rd/nd 07/99 FP 07/00 AD: never knows???

I am wondering, if FP can expire then why to do it?
I don\'t think FPs ever expire, otherwise it won\'t be a wise
idea to keep them in the database for years and then search
for possible match later....
what do you think?

AFAIK, FP expires in 15 months..I have seen lots of FP redo in this forum.
