My PD - Oct 1998 (EB2 - India), RD - 10/04/1999, ND - 10/14/1999. FP done - Yesterday.
My FP was done in VA (Moneta, Near Lynchburg). It was a manual (on paper)FP. I asked to the police officer (who was taking my FP), when it will be sent to Vermont and the reply was, they will send the FP to Nebraska and from there it will go to DC for FBI check. After that this will be sent to Vermont. My questions are..
1) Is it a normal practice? I am bit confused as I have no link with Nebraska. So why its being sent to Nebraska.
2) How much time this lengthy FP clearance process (Va to Nebraska to DC to Vermont) will take?
I have seen approvals within 60 days of FP. So was bit optimistic when got the FP notice. But the excitement is faded by now when I talked to the police officer who took my FP.
Please help.
