My wife and I went for fingerprinting at SFO last Saturday. During the fingerprinting process, my machine kept complaining about "ridge breaks" for most of the fingers, and said "passes" for some of them only. The same thing happened to my wife, but her agent repeated the fingerprinting until it "passed" for all the fingers. My agent didn\'t do this. He only repeated some of the fingers. Anybody experienced this? Does it lead to problems later?

FP - ridge breaks?

I asked the person taking the FP about the ridge breaks.
She said it was ok and not to worry. She had someone else check the finger prints to make sure they are ok.

The guard asked me why I was early. I said that I had some other work in the city, so I took a chance (which was the truth). She then said that she would ask if it was OK, and came back in a few minutes, saying that it was fine. There was no queue. We were done within 15-20 minutes.
