FP reschedule - how soon does it happen

My spouse is out of town. I would like to reschedule FP which is scheduled for 18th July. My spouse is expected only by August 1st. If I send reschedule, by this week to INS, will they reschedule it too soon, like before August 1st ?

Any experiences with Glenmont, MD ??

Or can I submit the reschedule form for my spouse when I go in person for my FP on 18th July ? Tell them that any day after Aug 1st is fine ?

Is the day of FP too late for reschedule ?

What is the best approach ?

Thanks,
teleks

I've seen many posts on FP reschedule issue. Looks like there're 2 options depending on which SC scheduled your FP/where to go to do your FP. But anyhow, there should be instructions on the FP notice for those who may not be able to make it on the scheduled date:

1. You need to fill out the bottom portion of the notice and sent it to a designated address to reschedule. My FP notice sent from TSC happened to be the case.

2. Some people are instructed to just walk in any Wednesday after the scheduled date within 90(?) days.

Once again, follow the instructions on your FP notices to make sure what to do...

But how soon is the rescheduled date from actual date ?

The FP notice has a bootom portion - where I may check for the next available wednesday/saturday

My problem is - if it gets rescheduled for say - 27th July, my spouse will still not be in.

And if I send the FP notice too late, like after 18th July, will the case be considered abandoned ? Or is it ok to take the notice with me, since I will be going on the 18th for my FP and give the reschedule form in person, adding that it has to be rescheduled after the 1st of Aug.

Does anyone have experience in reschedule, and what is the time frame that it took for the rescheduled notice...
