FP Question

My I-485 Interview was held at local office in March 2005. They told me that they have everything that they need and I need to wait for the PD to become current.

Q) I did not get a FP notice since then. Is this normal? Does anyone have same experience?

I have applied for 2 EAD's 2 AP's after that without any issues.

A) Your PD is not current yet.
As of March VB it is May 08 2001.
 
Immiq - Yes my NC is cleared.

Garcia - I know that my PD is not current.

On the interview day March 2005. The officer checked couple of docs, after taking the FP, the officer took our Passports inside to stamp the GC.

But the officer came out and said: "There is a Good and a Bad News"

Good News is: You have provided all the Docs required and we do not need anything from you, and I'm closing your case.
Bad News is: As EB3 has been retrogressed there is no Visa# available, so they cannot stamp my Passport.

I asked what next? : The officer said: "Go Home and wait for the approval Letter, which will come when the PD becomes Current"

At that time I did not know that the wait will be so long. And it has been 2 years since then. So, that is the reason which makes me ask the question if I still get a FP notice.

BTW, I have never changed a job or moved. I have applied 2 EAD's and 2 AP's after the interview. But never saw a FP notice coming to me.

They cannot proceed because your PD is not current. Is your I-485 employment based? Do you know why you were required for the interview? What did they ask you including the documents during the interview?

My suggestion to you keep a tab on the PD and as soon it becomes current make an infopass at the local office your case is.
They will then in most cases initiate a FP . They will usually send you a 2nd FP when they are ready to adjudicate your case.
It is normal not to recive FP notices once your FP has expired and till your PD in not current.
