FP Question

Hello All,
I need some advice from the experts on my situation.
My 140/485 were applied in June 2004 using an EB3 substitution labor with a PD of 9/2001. I applied for EAD/AP for my wife along with the 140/485 and got them approved in a month.
My 140 got approved in September.
I applied for my EAD/AP mid October and I got both of them approved couple of days ago.
Now I am planning to go out of country for 4 weeks beginning Feb 1st week.
I am wondering what are the chances of us getting FP notices in the next 2 months. If I get the notice before my trip, I may have to postpone the trip to after our FP date. However, I am not sure how to handle the situation if it comes as soon as we leave.

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
SG

Me too is in the same boat. Experts please suggest, what should we do ??
Planning to go to India for 4 weeks.

Here is what the person in ASC ( where FP is done) told me. One can for FP upto 90 days after the scheduled date in case one is not able to meet the scheduled date. Only thing is in that case one has to go on the date an time when ASC is allowing open FPs i.e non-scheduled FPs.

Second point is - when you get FP notice, generally FP is about a month from that notice date ( may be 2-3 months based on the backlog in the ASC) so based on where your ASC will be you should be able to go and come back and still give FP.

I suggest you ask your friend to collect your mail in your absence and keep a watch on when FP notice is received and then decide to come back early if necessary.

will_get_there,
Thanks for the reply. I was going to ask my friend to collect my mail and look for the FP notices. Also I have heard that the FP notice goes to the lawyer as well. If so, I may ask my lawyer to inform me as soon as they receives it. That should take care of the situation while I am away.
BTW does the FP notice cause any LUD change on a case?
Thanks,
SG

FP Notice mostly does not cause any change in the LUD. Only in very few cases we have seen that applicant received a update as "A letter based on approval or further information was mailed to you directly....",

so don't count on the LUD.
