FP on paper - Please post your experiences

I had my second FP done today. The center has three counters where the FP is done electronically and one manual counter. Unfortunately I had to go to the manual counter. I don't know how authentic it would be.

After waiting for 21 months my frustration is reaching to an unbearable point. I have already replied to RFE and was eagerly waiting to complete the FP. After the FP is done, I was hoping that I'll hear something positive in next three to four weeks. But all my hopes have been trashed because of this manual FP. I don't know how long it will take the BCIS APS to send the prints by mail to FBI and how long it would take the FBI to manually process them. On top of it I am afraid that the prints may not be good and I may have to redo them. If that happens it will add another couple of months to the process.

If anybody has the experience with the manual FP can you please post them here. I might get some console if I hear some positive remarks on it.

Thanks

This is not a problem at all. Both my wife and I went for FP last year in April and mine was taken on the computer and hers was on paper, I wondered what impact would this have. But, when I called the FBI to check if our results were sent back to BCIS then I learnt that results for both of us were sent on the same day.

Also, I was told by the FP officer that they'll scan the paper FP to their computer on the same evening.

I guess there should not be any reason to worry about this.

Thanks

Thanks thukralrk. Your response has given me some confidence. I hope the center I did my FP also scans it on the same day and sends it over to FBI.

The GC game is full of frustrations.

That shouldn't be a problem for you. My 2nd FP was done on 07/16/03 (manual, on paper)..That local center was sending all FPs on following Friday. FBI send back the results to BCIS on 7/22/03 and of course approval took almost 1 and 1/2 month (9/11/03).
