FP Notice Without 140 Approval???Normal?

Guys,
I got an FP notice, (my 485/140 concurrently filed in June-2004). However my 140 is not approved (per the automated site). Why am I getting the notice this early, especially since the FP is valid just for a year?

FP has nothing to do with I140. It is a part of I485 which is being handled separately.

I guess mirage27 must have filed in EB2 category. I have noticed several EB2 guys are getting FP notices in less than 2 months whereas EB3 guys are not getting it even after one year. It is probably, EB2 guys come under Pilot program, their I-485 can be adjudicated much sooner than EB3 guys.
 
TRUE in CSC not in other Service centers

I Think you are right if you are talking about CSC.. mine case is with VSC and RD is May 2004.. no change till now...
