FP notice when should I receive

My 485 was filed end of july at NSC and my lawyer received receipt notice on August 25th.

I have yet to receive FP notice. I belong to EB-2 India and my PD is Nov. 2002 and is NOT current. My lawyer has no clue when I should receive this notice.

Is there any relationship between PD current and issuance of first FP notice ? When should I expect this notice ?

I applied for my 485 in May 2006 and RD was 12th May. At that time my PD (Apr 02, EB2, India) was current. I received the FP notice in less than a month and I got my FP done on June 10th.
I'm not sure if your PD needs to become current before you get your FP notice.

EB-2 went unavailable 1st August and now my PD is not current.

I do not know if a relationship exists. I have not applied for EAD so that may also have some connection.

I didn't apply for my EAD either, as my wife and I have fairly decent jobs. We didn't see the need for it and prefer to just wait for the GC.
However, as FP is a part of the 485 process I'd *guess* and say that you'll only get an FP notice if they're actively processing your 485.

Hi,

I did not receive FP notice either.

FD: July 3rd week
RD: Aug 4th week
Concurrent: NO (one month difference due to birth certificate issue)
I-485 Current: Current when applied, not current in the middle and current again

Any idea?
 
i have received my FP notice, but not my spouse's FP notice, is it possible that it is lost??........is there any way to find out if we are missing the FP notice??
 
Not sure when fp notice is sent - someone told me after 6 months !!!

However, do you think it is sometime after 485 is submitted and PD becomes current ?
 
There's luck involved. My PD was current (non-retrogressed country) when I filed on August 21, but my FP notice wasn't issued until Sept 30. From this site it's clear that many folks get their FP notice within 2 weeks of filing if their PD is current, but there are others who have been waiting several months, even though their PD is current.
 
It is close to 3 months since my 485 was filed. My PD would be current from November 1st 2006 and my I-140 got approved recently.

I have yet to receive FP notice.Should I be calling USCIS or wait for 3 more months and then call for getting FP notice ?

... yup you are right, my PD is current but have not received FP notice yet..... details in signature

I looked at trackitt.com and there was only one instance I could spot which received FP notices in August.
Few possibilities
1. That they have a load of Applications to process.

2. Sending FP notices only when Name check is cleared, in that case if one receives FP it would be a good milestone.

3. Quite likely NSC has begun its winter holiday
