hello all,

I have reveived a receipt notice from NSC for my I-485, EAD and AP (all paper filing)

It only says "Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on October 4, 2005. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete".

Do I have to make an appointment by calling NSC or they (NSC) will send me a notice for FP/biometrics??

If I have to do it, then which no to call?

Please help!!

It typically takes 2 weeks to receive your finger printing notice.
if you want to take an appointment you can call USCIS 1800 number which is listed on your receipt notice.

just look at this thread you will find answers.

Thanks for you feedback. NSC did not ask me to make a appointment for biometrics on the Receipt Notice. I received the receipt notice about a month ago.

I had the impression that they mention it on the receipt nitice.

Does it mean I have to wait until they send me a notice for Biometrics or ask me to do so?

Please give me your important feedback.

Thanks,

they are not very consistent in this matter. they were asking everyone to call and make an appointment sometime between august and september. now it looks like they are switching back to sending out fingerprint notices.

NSC will send you the FP notice. There is nothing you can do. I received my wife's FP notice about 3 weeks after mine. I called USCIS to inquire about why we havn't received my wife's FP notice. There was a LUD on that day and we received her FP notice a few day later. I can't tell you for sure that my phone call made a difference. We called the regular 1800 number for case status.

Good luck!

We filed our adjustment of status (485) application some time in mid JUL-05. So far we haven't received our finger print notice. What is the number do I need to call to USCIS to enquire about FP notice? Is this good idea to call or wait for some more time..

Please advice.

Thanks

I called the regular 1800 number (1800-375-5283). Listen to the status of your case and then follow the instructions after that. I hope you will run into a knowledgable customer service representative. Most of them have no clue what they are saying!

Good luck!

FP notice with ND Oct4th, 2005 or after

Hi Sr1234,
Just wondering, did you received your FP notice. I did not either, though I filed after you. My PD was March, 2004 (I-140). I-485 Notice Date Oct 4, 2005
Does it depends on PD?

Thanks,

My reciept instructs (on the bottom of the page) To wait (in caps) and not to call (caps again) for an appointment to FP...

FP notice?

I filed I-140 and I-485 on Sept. 26, 2005. I-140 got approved in Oct. But, I have not got any finger print notice. Will the center send it to my lawyer or to me?

I am wondering if I should call the 1800 number you guys courteously provided....

You only call to setup an FP if you efile your 765. Otherwise, INS will send you a FP letter with the time and date.
