FP notice received while PD isn't current

I received CIS notice for fingerprint while my 485 is pending. I am EB3 applicant and subject to the visa quota. I submitted my 485 before 12/31/2004. Does the fingerprint notice means CIS is going to process my 485 after the fingerprint? Or I still have to wait for my PD current and it has nothing to do with fingerprint? Thanks.
 
I think getting a FP does not mean that your 485 PD is current, nor it is about to be processed, you still have time to submit your VisaScreening, getting a FP is just a part of it.

Can you confirm your notice date that you send the I-140 and I-485?
is it 31 DEC 2004 or before?

I submitted my 140 in July 2004 and 485 in October 2004.
