Didn't want to start a new thread, but the old and relevant ones are buried 20 screens down.

FP received finally after *more* than 3 fax inquires *and* a call from me to the duty officer. FP scheduled for Nov 5th. Will go earlier.

As a sidenote, wife's FP done on Sept 29th, results received Oct2nd, and status "Processing Resumed".

Did you get to know the reason for delay.

Looks like I may have to send those faxes to get response from INS folks about my FP.

BTW did you fax those inquiry or the attorney?
 
Lawyer faxed everytime, I called the duty officer

No apparent reason for delay. Lawyer says that if you are among the unfortunate ones, your FP notice will get delayed because someone forgot to print it and therefore it got "accidentally skipped". Whatever!

I was among the unfortunate ones though; I got my FP notice after 7 months of RD!

In retrospective, I should have started faxing the inquiries myself right after 120 days were over. But the problem was that my lawyer threatened to drop the case because he (and the INS) prefer that the case is represented and followed up by the lawyer and not the applicant.
