FP Notice lost in mail

My attorney’s office got courtesy copies of both of us. But only my wife got her FP notice in mail to our address and I haven’t got my FP notice yet. We have an appointment on Mar 14 in Raleigh NC.

Do they accept courtesy copy in place of the original for me? Can I just tell them that I haven’t received it?

My attorney faxed me a copy of my courtesy copy. Can I take the fax copy or do I need original of the Courtesy copy?

And no. You cannot take a fax copy. I had to take the original. I\'m glad my attorney sent me the original by fedex. (It says on the sheet that copies are not accepted)

I\'d like to know from you is it ok to take a photocopy of FP notice for finger-printing ? Mine is another case of lost the original in the mail. I can either get a fax or photocopy of FP notice from the attorney. Other option is to get a duplicate copy from INS which will take more time.

Please give me your suggestions. Thanks.

I replied to your other posting .
Yes you can take a fax copy from the INS. My wife took hers.
If you have got time you can also request for duplicate from the INS.
My duplicate came in four days. But since my wife did not receive her duplicate till the scheduled date ,we managed to get a fax from INS on the same day.
I guess it takes a lot of effort on your lawyers end to persuade the INS to send a fax on an urgent basis.
