FP Notice in San Jose

Our timeline is about the same. My priority Date is 6/25. I just talked with an CIS officer on the phone yesterday and was told that it takes about one month for them form the time they received your application till the time you are scheduled for FP. It's been a little bit more than 1 month now. Let's give it another week or so and see if we have any luck.
 
Please take a look at the San Jose thread and see when was the last FP notice posted there. FP notices are fairly predictable in their issuance, and you can get a good estimate by looking at the FP notice trend. I think FP notice has been taking longer than it used to do a few months back.
 
Short answer is No. Long answer is pretty much the same, no. The online status at best is only good to find out when they mail out the interview letter, and even then it is done in a very customer care unfriendly way, they just make the status change to case disappeared when they mail out the interview letter. I guess because when they send the interview letter the case is transfered to the local office, so it is somewhat out of the hands of the service center.
 
A friend of mine who filed on May 31st, 2007 received her finger print notice for Aug 24 about two weeks ago. But i guest for June applicant, this is much slower due to the fee increasement.
 
Hello: I made an appointment to see the CIS officer in San Jose this morning at 7:15am as i have the day off. Couple of things and these may just be how i felt when visiting this particular office.

1. What's the information center is for? I was the 6th person (party) in line and it took well over 15 minutes to get me a ticket number.
2. After receiving a ticket number, knowing there were 3 windows open, window 4, 10, and 15. I waited for another 15 minutes to get my number called and the 5 other numbers before me were called and assisted by window 4 officer (female Hispanic lady, always smiling).
3. Greeted the officer at window number 15 but he wasn't in a good mood. He did tell me that my fingerprint is being scheduled and i should get a letter within 2-3 weeks.
 
Thanks for the good information. May be we need to sit tight for the next couple of weeks. FP notice may arrive by mid-Sep.
 
Maybe it's the different Service Center, but I received my NOA application receipt and fingerprint notification within the same week! My NOA application receipt on this past Monday and my fingerprint notification today.

According to both documents, my NOA application receipt was generated on 8/8 and my NOA fingerprinting notification was generated on 8/13! I say that's pretty damn good!

FingerPrint Notice Received

Hello:

Just an update that I have received fingerprint notice for Sept. 20th at 3pm. The notice was created on Aug 27th, mailed on Aug 28th, and received today (Aug 30th).

I believe we have the same priority date.
