FP Notice!!!!!!! Big Issue

Hi,everyone:
I think i may got big issue here.I hope smeone can help me.
RD: May,2001
I have not got FP notice until today. I had called, i had sent letter to them.
But still nothing, is there anyone can get phone number call them driectly or anyone can give me some idea what can i do?

My RD is september 2001 and I had my FP taken in first week of JULY.
It is not abnormal for the INS to send FP notices at different time for different people depending on the officer handling your case,you service center etc.
Have patience and wait for some time and I hope you will get it soon.
Any ways it doesn't mean anything if your FP is taken now or later.You have still a couple of years to get your GC.

Exactly, not to mention that some people who applied in 2004 are getting FP notices before the ones that applied in 2001/2002. So there is no order or logic to it, just wait and see..... You'll get it eventually.
 
My notice date is in May of 2002. I received fingerprint notice last week. The notice has a different reference number then my I-485 receipt number. My I-485 receipt number is not even found on the system.

The notice indicates that I would need to do my fingerprint by certain date, otherwise, the Service Center will consider me as being abandon my case.
I think the NSC is trying to consolidate all the cases and find out exactly how many cases are still pending.

The NSC is working in a mystery way. It is hard to find a logic to it process.
You might want to call the main number to find out your case if your are worried.
 
Just to add to the mystery:
My case has an RD of July 2000. No FP until today.

My bro's case has and RD of Jan 2001 - He got FP in May 2004.

So it's indeed confusing.

Maybe once I become a USC - I can apply for a job at NSC - just to fulfill my curiousity. And if that happens - I promise I will shed the mystery to all of you folks..... :)

My filing date was March 2000, in June 2000 I received a notice to appear at a specified location for my FP. When I got there, nobody was there only me. I saw the janitor, and he told me that no FP's where scheduled for that day.
Two days latter I received a letter from INS at that time saying that the Mobile finger printing unit was not going to be at the specified location that day, and that my FP would be rescheduled for a latter time.
Last week I finaly received the FP appointment letter.
So, don't worry about that part just be patient.
 
Yeah, that's a mistery. As I wrote last week. I apply for adjustment on August, 2004 and received my FP notification on September, 2004.

Yes, 2004. Just be patient!!

just curious.

my I485 Notice Date is March 2004

now recently they called me for Finger Print. Oct 2004

does that mean things are moving :-)

or they just send the FP randomly. or is there a specific time frame e.g after FP how long it takes to get a green card

mmbutt,I don't think FP notice has any thing to do with adjustment time.If you applied in 2004 and have FP taken in 2004,that doesn't mean anything b/c you have to wait at least 8 years to get your GC.That's the reality brother.take it easy and relax for the long journey.
