FP not found/Missing after 3 weeks at FBI!

We have done our FP 7/22/00 in Philadelphia. I called FBI and they have not received it from INS! The person asked me whether it was done electronically and I said yes and her reply was by now it should have been in the system. She suggested contacting INS and letting them know.

Any one in the same boat or went through same scenario?

Pls. suggest course of action.

Do not worry about that. It took 4 weeks for me when I did my FP in Boston. It is usually sent the same day. But in my case and some more people it took 4 weeks for the FBI to receive that.

In the mean time did you got to INS office where you had taken FP to check what happened?

No I did not go. Also even if you go there i don\'t think that they will make you redo. I almost lost hope. But I saw some posts in this news group that they got FBI approval after 2 weeks of FP. So I again called FBI after 4 weeks of my FP and they had received it by then.

Thanks. Most of the postings say that FP got cleared same day. But most of the time it should be with in 2 weeks. But for some it is taking weeks!
