Hi,

My husband and I just did our fingerprint on Feb16, 01. I called the FBI this morning to check on the status on our fingerprint; they told me that the Fingerprint is "completed" and sent back to the INS. Does it mean that we have passed the FP part of the I-485 application? Any possibility of INS to ask us to redo our fingerprint?

Thanks for your response.

Yes...You are done with the FP part.
Only possibility of redo is if your cases take
very long time whcih is a remote possibility with the
current fast processing of CSC.....
Good Luck.

In my situation also, FBI said the same thing. On asking what the results were- "Pass" or "fail" or however FGI classifies, the offficer said they do not disclose results. Resuls have been sent to INS. So i am presuming all is fine. I dont think you have any thing to worry about since the local ASC where I took finger prints told me that u need to redo only if the prints are "unclassifiable" or "not clear". If either is not the case, your FP probably went ok. hope that helps.

Hi JLim and everyone on the board,

I am wondering what phone number did you call to check the fp
status? Is it hard to get thru? What time is best to call? I went for
my FP on 2/10/01.

Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

Lee
