FP in Philly?

For those of you who has completed their FP in Philly, can you share your experiences. I am planning to go for an early FP. Any help is appreciated.
 
I did my FP in the second week of October in Philly. We went in like 11:30AM. It was a wednesday very crowded. Took us like 3.5hrs to get out of there.
I think going early might help.

Also I'm going for my wife's early FP this saturday. She's scheduled for in December first week.
 
Same here. Want to try our luck this Saturday. Hopefully it won't be too crowded.
 
Yes it is true going early morning will help because in the late afternoon they might not even let you in because of already crowded room. I had to come back because of the same reason on Wednesday October 13 but I was given a form to fill up and was asked to come early the next day. When I went there with my form and notice ready, they did not even make me wait in the Queue but I was sent straight for FP
 
I'm going there next Wed too for early FP (the notice is 11/18), would like to hear about the experience from your guys. I heard that Wed is probably the best day for early FP, but looks like it could still be crowded.

That's a very good qurstion, for which I myself would like to have an answer.

We went for early FP in Philly Tuesday, 10/20. They let us in about 11:00 a.m., and we got it done after a couple of hours of waiting.
 
In my opinion, it should certainly make your application ready for ajustification faster if all other requirements are met (according to the Pierre deposition).

I got finger prints notice, they are given appointment on Nov 29th 2004 in Philly. Is it possible to go early I am planning to go this week. Please let me know. Any body completed FP early .

Got the FP's done today! Went in around 1:30pm, and was out by 2:30pm, not much crowd, I believe morning was crowded. It is advised to go early wednesday mornings or in the afternoons (tue-sat), they close by 3:45pm and are closed on sundays and mondays.

Even I am planning to go. Would you please let me know if they asked why did you go earlier than scheduled date. Also do we need to say anything if they ask us as why did I go for early FP. Please let me know.
 
Got the FPs done today too.
The lady at front was friendly. She pointed out that we were early but let us go in anyway. There wasn't many people in the afternoon (went in at around 2:15). My impression is that if they are not busy, they wouldn't mind if you go early. There was 7 cases before us and only 3-4 after us. After 3PM, the place is basically empty. For the benefit of those who are going in the future, here is what I found out from the lady at the front:
* They open from 8:00AM to 3:45PM Tuesday to Saturday.
* Saturdays are the busiest days, Tuesdays are crowded too. (They had more than 300 people today, but the majority of them came in the morning. The place was so crowded in the morning that some people had to wait in line outside of the building.)
* Early FPs seem to be okay as long as there aren't many people. It doesn't seem that you have much explaining to do.
* The lady does not understand why most people come in the morning and wait for hours whereas there are only a few people in the afternoon.

I was asked the same question, I said I had travel plans during that time frame and that's why I am early, she didn't ask anything else. As fhgc said, go in the afternoon, it's relatively less crowded or empty.

You can go, if they ask you to come back, what you can do is go out roam around for an hour or so in Philly, have lunch and go back around 2pm and give it a shot. That's what worked for me.
