FP for derivative while primary is still waiting for FP

Hi,

My wife got FP notice dated Nov'4th two weeks back while I am still waiting for it. Is this normal? How to find out if my FP has been posted or not?
Called USCIS, they are not of much help. They said there is no update on my case yet. Guys please let me know if anything can be done.
