FP experience

I got FP notice on 11th Sep for both spouse and self. As spouse was out of country at that time, I sent the notice back for postponement to a later date. My wife was back in the US on 19th Sep. My lawyer sent her copy of notice and asked me to attempt the FP which I did today. My spouse got the FP done (no questions asked) and lo behold when I reach home I find a mail from USCIS with the reschedule (why am I not surprised !!!).

Now here comes the strange bit. They sent back the same notice (11th Sep date) I had returned them for reschedule with an attached letter which said this was the final FP notice and I had to come to the ASC with the attached letter within 87 days for FP or else abadoned application etc. etc.

They had also however mentioned that if I had done the FP in the past 87 days I can ignore the notice. So I am just going to let it pass.
