FP done ..cleared from FBI ..what next ?

I just called FBI and they said it was returned same day I did my FP i.e 8/14 and I did check a LUD on my I485 application for 8/15 which made sense

However they also said --NC is done through Washington office and they are heavily backlogged and its all waiting till then. Not sure what that means to me??

So is tehre a way to verify NC status? I see soem folks has done it somehow.
Any feedback/comment please ?
 
NC mean name check

NC means name check. FBI does not give results on that to public. They are always backlogged on that. Thats what FBI told to you.
 
Name check is different from fringerprint check. FP clearance doesn't mean anything in terms of NC, unfortunately. Although many people have their NC cleared within six months, others have to wait 1 - 3 years or even more.

It is probably too early for you to check on FBI Name Check since your 485 was filed only two months ago. However, if you want to, or need to in the future, infopass is the best option in my opinion.
