FP Done but status didn't change

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share my experience. I had my FP done last month. I called USCIS 800 number today to find out if they have received my FP results from FBI yet. The lady told me that the last notice they have sent me was my receipt for I485. She has no record of any other notice from USCIS to me. I asked her who sent me the FP notice then? She said I have to call Nebraske Office.
If I was in a cartoon movie, I would have love to punch that lady thru the telephone. When would they have their act together?
Asylum Approved March 2000
Application date March 2001
Receipt date April 2, 2001
FP done on August 17, 2004
Does some has a number where I can find out about my FP results? Are they doing these FP because they will no longer have contract with DLEA for FP after October 1st, 04 or they are actually ahead in processing Asylees applications?

on what grounds u got political asylum? Was your life in danger in your home country?

I appreciate your replying to my thread but I really didn't see any relevance of your question/accusation. Off course my life was in danger in my country. On what grounds was my asylum based on? I truly think that is a very personal question and not many people would like to share that confidential info.

I got approved in 2000 and applied for GC in 2001
FP on july 3rd and the results recieved by the center after 5 days or so and it was automatically updated.I don't know what goes wrong in your case.
You should try to find out by writing to the service center,they may have lost it or didn't update it on time.Chins up and enjoy life after all we are in the best country in the world.

There is no guarantee that website is always updated. For e.g. When I was sent the FP request the on-line status did not change. I went and got the FP done....the status never changed.... It however did change when I was sent an RFE.....

Another case I know just few weeks ago. This person was sent the FP notice, his online status also did not change. He went and got his FP done and his status still did not updated... On the other hand my brother received a FP request and his online status was updated to reflect that a FP appointment has been sent in mail... He did receive it ..went for the FP and his status was updated....

The on-line status update is a very nice tool if the data input is accurate and timely but from my experience it is not consistent....so I will not worry too much about if the status is not updated ...

Thank you RAsylee and Gebre. You guys are the best. Knowing that I'm not the only one makes me feel much better. I'll follow your advice and write to the center.
