FP done, but no status change yet...:(

We had our finger printing done on 25th Sep. and its been one month now with no status update on USCIS website. I tried contacting them over phone & in person at the local office but their reply remains the same - 'they have not recd. the report from FBI, I can check back in 3 mths'

Friends, how long does it take for this status update? Is there anything I can do? Thx!
 
1. Call any one number:
304 625 5590
304 625 2406

2. Select Option 3 or Option 2 i.e. Private Individual

3. Tell her/him that you need to check whether your FP report is send to INS or not ?

4. She will ask your Allien # and update with you with the status.
Allien # is located on the right hand corner of your I-140 or I-485 or FP notice.

I'm with you. I did my 1st FP on 9/25/04 and i did not see any change in my online mesg. I called FBI and they said they sent the results to INS the same day. I donno what to do and kept quiet (left to GOD) as these ppl are not so helpful even if we make inquiries. I'm not telling u all this to discourage u, keep trying and pl. do let me know if u see any positive result.
 
This is what I have learned....

Guys, the above FBI nos. are for only finger printing matches. Normally they return this result to USCIS in 30 minutes. So, I believe whosoever got the status as they sent the results immediately - it was only for FP matches.

The second part of FP is 'name check', which is done by a seperate dept. of FBI. This is where the most of us are stuck and these guys do not entertain any phone calls (@ 202-324-2399).

I have sent them an email for status check & will let you know if I get any response - as the chances are pretty less. Looks like I have hit the wall again....:(

Now its my turn to ask. Where/how/to whom did you send the email to and what did you say.

Call at this # 202-324-2399 and you will get the email id and the rest of the info (A#, name, DOB etc) that you need to send.

Pls. let us know if you get any response.... :)
 
I had sent them email inquring abt the name check with all my details immediately after my FP. I have not received any reply from them yet.
