FP done, and when do I need to call FBI and check on status

I have done my FP on 4/25, and how long does it take to go to the INS ? Also, when can i call the FBI and check on my FBI approved status. Please do let me know. From FP, how much time does it take for the GC.

unfotunately, FBI will not tell you if you passed or not. You can call 1-2 days after and they will tell you the result is send to INS; and INS won\'t tell you either; so the only way you will know is when you recieve a finger print retake notice 1-2 month down the line. Kind of sucks...

Why do FP\'s get rejected in the first place. Does anyone know if anything can be done to avoid pitfalls to begin with?
