Hi, dear friends,
I just received notice of action for FP, code 3.
Would you think it's helpful if we get a walk-in to get my fingerprints taken in order to speed up the process? My husband and I are waiting anxiously for AP to go on our honeymoon on Jan. 4 (of course, the earlier, the better).
It is 4 hours' driving distance from here to the DO: Charlotte, NC. Has anybody done walk-in FP there and what's your guess about whether if it's helpful?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Lily,
I did a walk-in at Charlotte for my FP. It worked out for me. I had rescheduled my FP appointment and it was rescheduled for 2 months later. So I took the chance at the advice of this forum and went and everything worked out for me.

There is no guarentee that if you go for an earlier FP appointment that the EAD and AP will be processed quicker because they have 120 days to process the AP and 90 to process the EAD but I would still take the chance in case they would process it sooner. I hope for your sake that they do.

Are you sure it takes 4 hours to get to Charlotte from Cary because it only takes 2 hours from Raleigh?

Good Luck

Good luck with that walk-in, Lily!

I've been thinking here - what if I just go to our ASC without a FP notice? Will they tell me to get lost? :) I'm kinda tired of waiting for the damn thing, and I already have an interview date. The 800 number told me I should wait 60 days after my RFE receipt date, but it'll be Dec. 27, and I have my interview on Jan. 3. Funny.

Anyways, I don't think they would even let me in without an appointment :( Am I right?

Thanks!
