FP clearance by FBI and security checks

hello friends:

As you all know, i am probably the oldest pending case on this forum (RD 4/2001). RFE received 1st week of march 2004 by TSC. I had the fingerprinting done on 3/18/04. I called the FBI and they have completed processing on it and sent it back to TSC on 3/28/04. I just wanted to check if there are any additional steps after fingerprinting is cleared by FBI? Does the FBI processing include background security checks or is this a separate process done by USCIS? If so, how long does it take.

and they should soon be updating the receipt of fp and approval should be there in a month.....best of luck
 
Gkhan - sometimes they might not update the message regarding FP. It might only be a single change to Approval. I think FBI clearance all the possible checks possible..I'd doubt if USCIS has their own checking. If that were the case, they would be approving 1996 cases..:) just kidding..u know what i mean..
