FP blues - NSC

RD 06/19, ND 07/06 and family's FP scheduled for 08/23;

Strangely, the Primary applicant is yet to get this notice !!

What's more intriguing is that the AVM spews out a
'Insuff. fees .... for FP' message whereas the 485 receipt indicates the correct $$$ amount.

My attorney spoke to NSC and on both occassions was told that it was a system glitch that failed to generate the FP notice for me (why me ) but failed to give ANY timeline when this would get fixed (well, well, thy name is INS )

Now the law office insists that I go along with all docs. on 08/23 and request the officer there to conduct the test for me as well. If they don't then I need to wait for the official notice - (you don't need to have a law degree to tell me that. I would do that anyhow )

Fiasco ends

It took two phone calls from the law office and a call and a fax from yours truly to get the Finger Print notice at the door steps today.

And guess what, it's scheduled for tomorrow !!!

I have RD 6/29 and my received my FP notice after almost a year! I had it done on June 13 '02--so this is a nsc vice--not your fault or fate! good luck with FP today!

Hi Dipc,

Mine is also the same case. (But in my case it's my wife's fingerprinting).

My RD is 07/29. I got my fingerprinting notice scheduled for 09/07. But in my wife's case the AVM says "We have determined insufficient payment of fingerprint fee for I-485...." like that.

But, the check has been cashed correctly & the receipt notice says correct $$ amount ($305).

My attorney said she would check with INS (NSC). If you can please tell me about how you got your's fixed, it would be a great help for me.

Hi Jeinutheen

It's certain that my Co.attorney did speak to the IIOs on two occassions highlighting the fact that one in the family who was left out happened to be the primary applicant.

I spoke to an IIO later and explained to her in details, stressing that the 485 recpt. indicates right $$$ amount (To prove this, on my own, I faxed the receipt stating this talk) and my family was already scheduled.

That I eventually got the notification at the bang, was perhaps the fruit of all these quick actions taken together, within a short span of time.

----

If this was indeed a system related issue vs. an individual goofing up, expect things to be right soon. That's my guess.

Got FP notice for my wife

Hi,

Our attorney called INS & spoke with an IIO. He said there was some system glitch & the notice got generated incorrectly.

Yesterday, we got the FP notice for my wife.

AVM update....

After receiving the FP notice, did your AVM updated?

For my wife it still says 'We have determined an insufficient payment for the FP fee....'.
