FP at Newark, NJ. with Kids!!!???

Hi Guys,

We have appointment for FP on 03/25/2005 at 11:00AM( Newark, NJ).
How long it is going to take for the FP for me and my spouse as well.?
We have two kids.(one with 2 Years old and another 9 months old)
Is it good idea to take the kids with us? or NO. will they allow to take the kids inside for FP.(FP for only 2 of us not for the kids)
OR
better go to FP without kids?

Please post your experience with Newark, NJ for FP with kids!!!!?

HI;

I went there 2 weeks ago. It will be a long line, but they move pretty quickly. From my experience they were calling 7 to 8 people at a time. The whole process took me 40 minutes. I must add did not see anyone with children, however there is no rule stating you cannot bring your children. It is a fairly quick and easy process.

Mine and my wife's FPs too scheduled at Newark on 8th April, 2005. I have two kids younger one is 1 year old born here and the first kid is 8 years old born in India. We got FP notices for me and my wife but not for my daughter. Since our FP notices mentioned code 3, that means finger prints + biometrics, and I am little concerned how to get my daughter's biometrics without notice. For kids below 14 years do not require FPs.

My question is whether your two children born in US? If not in that case how about biometrics for the kid(s)? Any inputs from you and others are greatly appreciated.

Both of my kids were born here in US. :D . I am sorry raaj97. I have no idea about your case. Please search in this forum. Sure you will get some info for your case.

I was asking that can we take the kids with us duing FP+Biometrics.
Is it allowed to take kids with us OR not?.... :eek:

Appointment time is 11:00 AM on Friday 03/25/05.
How long before we need to be there?.
Is it going to be too big line in the q?.

can u please share u r exp after u attend u r fp. are u planning to take u r kids. we have a 2 year old and ours are scheduled for 15th april.
 
Checklist of documents for Fingerprinting

Can someone who has recently done Fingerprinting provide a checklist of documents that are required for FP?
The FP Notice says 'all related Receipt Notices' - does that include Receipt Notices for I-140 and I-485 ???

Kindly clarify.

I did my FP+Boimetrics(code 3) for me and my spouse at Newark,NJ on Friday.(Mar 25,2005). We went there around 10:30AM for 11:00 AM appointment.
There was lengthy Q out side 24 Commerce.
Around 10:40AM security said whoever have 11:00 AM Appointment come and form a new Q from the lengthy Q. 50% of the people came out and formed a new line, from that he asked to go inside the hall about 10 people at a time. There was a Q already inside the hall going around the steps to the next floor. The Q moves slowly to the next floor. When U reach the next floor they give you a form to fill up your details. You need to fill up when you are in the Q. They will call you one by one and give you a token and ask you to sit in the room. Once you get you # they will take according to your code.

THE ASKED ME ONLY MY EAD AND FP NOTICE THATS ALL.

Fingerprinting at Newark

I did the fingerpriting & Biometrics (Code 3) at Newark on 3/25.
Whatever mka2005 wrote earlier is true. They only asked FP NOTICE and PHOTO ID (Driver's license)

Children:
My 2 year old child was with me. There were quite a few people with kids. No Problems.

FP Code:
It seems the Newark people are pretty aware of the different codes. They put stamp on the FP Notice which shows what needs to be done. (FP, Biometrics etc). When everything is done, a QA inspector/surpervisor signs the FP notice so I think there is limited scope of any trouble regarding FP/Biometrics mismatches or quality.

There are a lot of machines and a bunch of folks working. So even though there are tons of people waiting to be FPed, the line moves with acceptable pace.

Yes, my 8 months child only with us. We did not take 2 years old kid.

BASICALLY THEY ASKED FOR PHOTO ID, WE GAVE EAD, UPTO YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT TO GIVE YOU CAN GIVE. SOME PEOPLE GAVE PASSPORT.

THE REASON WE GAVE EAD: You need to write your Alien# on the application form. (Alien# will be there on your EAD). So you don't need to take your DL out.

For us it took 4 hrs for waiting. We came out at 2:30 PM.
(But FP+Biom only it took 10 min)

Yes, They took FP+ BIOMETRICS as well. They aware of it..

Your Alien Number should also be printed on your Finger Printing Notification letter.
