Hey All,

Does anybody know how long it takes before one gets the FP appointment after filing for 485?

Does it matter what state you are filing from?

Yes STATE matters

In NJ it took me 5 months

In CT i took me 3 months

IN PA it took me 7 months

It depends not only on your geographical area, but also on when you filed your 485. We got the FP notice (Phila, PA) in about 1-1/2 months. We had filed our 485 in Feb 2002.

It depends on your state, but also on when you filed your 485. i got the FP notice STATEA in about 1 month. 485 was filled in August 2002.

for me it took 2 months

to get a FP notice. State:MA
Oct 2001 end I filed 485, Dec 31st I got my FP notice(scheduled on Feb 01'02, but went 2 weeks earlier.)
