FP: What I need to take to Local INS office
Hi,

Our FP is scheduled at local INS office.

1. What do I need to take to the INS office along with our FP notice+I485receipt notice+EAD receipt notice ???
Any other docs such as employment letter etc ??

2. Could u explain to us what to expect at the INS office ??
3. Do we need to fill out any application ???
4. if We need to fill out any application, What will be asked in the application ??

You need your passport.

I just did my second fp.
You need to fill out a simple form. They also need your passport.
Though it won't hurt to bring 485 receipt.

They didn't ask my password when I did my first FP, only my driver's licence.

I don't recall everything on the form but it was really simple stuff.

First you show the request to the person near the door, don't worry you won't get in without showing the request. They give you a simple form you fill in with:

Name
Address
Birthdate
A# (from the form they sent you)
Some more really trivial things.

I took only the fingerprint request and my passport. That's all I needed.

Fillling out a form with lots of information that they already have, I presume so the can crosss reference it if it gets misfiled.

You wait till your number is called, they take your fingerprints and you leave.

[Contrary to all the hyperbole on this site]
My expereince was that the officers were pleasant and helpful to *everyone*. Including people who had showed up in the wrong spot on the wrong day. I don't think they are out to get you, they just want your fingerprints.
