may be it could be faster now. my friend applied her citizenship in March / April 2004. She got FP notice around May / Jun 2004. Then she got her interview letter in Dec 2004/ Jan 2005. Her interview was in Apr, and her oath was in Apr (2 weeks after her interview) 2005.
