FP and FBI

I called the FBI at 304 625 200 and they told me that FP was sent back on June 9th.

But I did my FP on June 9th, can INS send to FBI on JUne 9th and FBI send back same day.. wow , thats fast ?

Anybody has similiar experience ?
 
Yup, that is standard, both FP and IBIS check will be reported back to USCIS within minutes (unless they find something running either check). The FBI name check is what counts and lead to significant delays.

Just to understand the steps.

Once the FP is done

FBI does check
IBIS check (What is this? how can I check if this is cleared)
NAME Check (same as above?)

After what step will I get interview letter ?
 
Hi there!

If you are lucky and your district office follows USCIS' internal memo that as of 04/25/06, no interview shall be scheduled until all checks are completed, you might be lucky.

In my case, that memo did not help. Stuck for now.

Other than calling them to 'check' on your fingerprints, there is no way to check on the status on the other checks they run.
