forms to switch from H1B to B2

Hi,

I have a friend who may be laid off by the end of the week and her employer may cancel her H1B. She doesn't want to be out of status. She already has a B2 visitor's visa. So, what application forms does she have to file to switch from H1B to B2 and by when does she have to do it? Also, do you know the fees?

If she has a B2 valid visa, just leave the country and come back on B2. That will be the quickest and easiest way.
