CUSTOMS FORMS

Just fill up your "goods to follow list" if you plan to land and come back to US.
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/E/pbg/cf/b4a/

If you are going to export cars and stuff on this trip itself than you need to fill B4 form , also available on the same web site / or the officer will fill it out for you . http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/E/pbg/cf/b4/README.html

If you are carrying any amount above 10k CAD ( in whatever way - check + cash together ) you need to declare in a seperate form - ask officer and
he'll give it you.

You 'll also need to declare the amount at US Customs if its more than 10k USD.

If you are importing cars right now , you 'll need to export them first at US Customs for which you need clear title or NOC from your lender.

If you plan to do it later .. it 'll still be entered on B4 Form and treated as goods to follow for benefits of duty exemptions.

Can u also pls send me the format for preparing the "goods in possession" and "goods to follow" list?

If I'm taking my camera and camcorder with me to canada while landing, and going to bring it back with me to US,should I specify those in "goods in possession"?

Should I specify simple things like books,cd's,dvd's,kitchen items, etc in "goods to follow",if so how and in what format? should it be consolidated (ie., kitchen items) or must be listed individually?

should I specify serial number just for electronics?

If I specify car in the "goods to follow" then should I make sure it is suitable for canada even for just listing in the list (or) do I need to check those only when I move my car?

Is there a max value($) for which I can include items in the list?

How should I carry the proof of funds,if I'll be returning to US immediatedly within 4 days of landing? In some post it says Certified cheque, some say bank stmt,cash.......so how should I carry the proof of funds?

As u have mentioned in the previos post, should I fill in b4a form, even though I will not be taking anything with me while landing? Should I fill in the above form (or) should I prepare in a excel? What the difference?

If I list my car in the "goods to follow",then should I check my car for canadian standards now itself (or) is it necessary to do it only when I physically move my car?

Thanks.
