I'm new to the forum and I believe I asked this question in the wrong thread. My employer wants to apply for my H-1B visa.
Here it is:
I currently have an F-1 visa, working under OPT (I have an Employment Authorization Card). My employer is going to file Form I-129 but we're having trouble figuring out Part 2, Question 4: "Prior Petition." What would be the prior petition or application receipt #? (This is my first I-129 petition ever, but I am in the U.S. and applying to change my status (from F-1 to H-1B).
(Note: In Question 5 ("Requested Action") we are choosing option b) "Change the person's status and extend their stay since the person(s) are all now in the U.S. in another status.")
